Paris Half-Marathon 2020

UPDATE 12 SEPTEMBER 2020 – THE COURSE IS CANCELLED IN 2020 UPDATE 5 MARCH 2020 – THE RACE IS POSTPONED FROM MARCH 1st TO SEPTEMBER 6 DUE TO COVID 19 (CORONAVIRUS) March 1, 2020. Every year, at the beginning of March, it’s the big half marathon that everyone is waiting for, the Paris half-marathon, the objective of the season or an important milestone in the preparation of the Paris Marathon at the beginning of April. We know the Paris Half Marathon well from having run it many times. Beginning of March, it’s almost the end of winter, the weather can be really variable, with sometimes snow at the start, extremely cold as in 2005, very mild as in 2007, with very heavy rains as in 2017, difficult to predict… Last year, we had a strong wind. Look at this finish where the wind lifts the carpet and makes a runner fall! This year again, the start and finish are along the Seine (and no longer in the Bois de Vincennes): start near the Gare d’Austerlitz and finish in front of the Grande Bibliothèque. The route is relatively rolling (at least compared to that of the 1990s). Most of the route passes through the Bois de Vincennes but you also go through the Bastille, the Banks of the Seine and the City Hall (Hôtel de ville): So, first half-marathon, looking for record on the distance, preparation for the Paris marathon which takes place 5 weeks later, pleasant running time with friends, whatever, GOOD HALF! And whether it’s cold or hot, no matter the weather, it’s a great party! Previous editions: 2019 Edition – 2018 Edition – 2017 Edition – 1999 edition – 1998 Edition And why not combine this competition with a sightrunning tour of the city during your stay in Paris by running with authentic Parisian runner guides (warming up some day before the competition or recovering some day after)? Eco-Trail de Paris 2020

RACE CANCELLED IN 2020 UPDATE MARCH 2020 – THE RACE IS POSTPONED FROM MARCH 14th TO OCTOBER 3RD DUE TO COVID 19 (CORONAVIRUS) The Eco Trail celebrates its thirteenth edition this year with success as it attracts more and more people, runners and hikers. The Paris EcoTrail is the great Parisian Trail, Parisian because it ends in Paris for several of its races and what’s more, on the first floor of the Eiffel Tower, which is the case of the 80 km Trail (80 km with a little treat for the end, more than 400 steps to climb to reach the first floor and the finish!). The Ecotrail de Paris corresponds to several competitions, the trails 80km, 45 km, 30 km, 18 km, a new one: the 10 km (good opportunity to test the conditions of a trail for the first time), hikes and Nordic Walks. For those who are only interested in the Eiffel Tower, there is also the Eiffel Tower Vertical: this year, due to construction work, the Vertical stops at the second floor, it is still a matter of climbing the steps leading to the finish in a minimum of time … fewer steps to climb so but in fact we have to do twice the climb! You will find all the information about these races on the EcoTrail website which is very well done. And why not combine this competition with a sightrunning tour of the city during your stay in Paris by running with authentic Parisian runner guides (warming up some day before the competition or recovering some day after)?
