A Parisian adventure under the sign of the God with winged sandals!

Let’s go for a Parisian adventure under the sign of the God with winged sandals! We… …saw a gigantic creature… …admired the superb Parisian parks… …celebrated the daffodil to the sounds of a batucada… …evoked “Midnight in Paris” at the top of the “mountain”… …congratulated the mother of a wallaby baby… …paid tribute to the architectural jewel that is Notre Dame… …and to the imminent arrival of Spring… …and finally, greeted the most famous of the towers! Thank you Meriem for this nice enthusiasm! If you too, you come to Paris, we will be very happy to run with you. Time travel with Paris Running Tours

Paris is more than 2000 years of history (even more so, when you think of the canoes discovered in Bercy that date back to the Neolithic period). During our guided tours and thanks to the distance we cover, we can dive into the past and compare the different periods of Paris. Here, with the run done with Katie and Stantton, we have evoked and admired entire sections of Paris’ history. The photos you can see here show the periods from the end of the Middle Ages to the 20th century (but we also discovered, among others, the Paris of the Romans, Lutetia!). Thank you Katie and Stantton! If you too, you come to Paris, we will be very happy to run with you. A brief history of the Pont des Arts and the “love padlocks”

We have been running in Paris for a long time and we see Paris evolving slowly. For example with the Pont des Arts* which is one of our favorite bridges to cross the Seine. Since 2008, we have been sharing the city’s discovery tours with runners from all over the world. It is an opportunity to take souvenir photos. It also allows us to see the evolution of our favourite places such as the Pont des Arts. See with this short film some samples of the Pont des Arts photographed thanks to our friendly visitors. * Who remembers that in the early 1980s the Pont des Arts was broken due to an accident and in the process of being repaired? If you too, you come to Paris, we will be very happy to run with you. Another tour with our friends from Turin for a new discovery of Paris

Daniele and Marina from Turin regularly come to Paris. We had the pleasure of doing a new Paris running tour together, a beautiful 18 km race in a rather cold Paris. This time, we explored the north of Paris (last February, we had covered 20 km around the Seine). Before venturing into the beautiful Montmartre, we passed by the rue de Turin 😉: Who says Montmartre says mills, the “Moulin-Rouge” (a “fake” mill whose theatre is well known) and the “Moulin de la Galette”, composed of two authentic mills: In Montmartre, we went to celebrate Marcel Aymé, here immortalized as the “Passe Muraille”, the hero of his famous novel. The statue was created by his friend, the actor Jean Marais, just in front of the writer’s house. Who remembers the inauguration of this work in February 1989? Exactly 30 years ago! We made a detour to see the Clos Montmartre. The vines are sleeping under the snow this February. Come also in October to participate in the Clos Montmartre grape harvest festival (“La fête des Vendanges du Clos Montmartre”). On the occasion of the race “Les foulées du tertre 2008″, one of our guides on the podium was rewarded with one of the very narrow bottles of the Clos Montmartre (on the right of the photo). A little known and very rare wine, the vine having a small production… And of course, the magnificent view of Paris: We left Montmartre (downhill, it’s easier 😉) to reach the centre of Paris via beautiful covered passages: Even if we still had a few kilometers to run, we took a short break to admire the beautiful church of Saint Eustache: Many thanks Marina and Daniele! We look forward to meeting again next year (or perhaps earlier). If you too, you come to Paris, we will be very happy to run with you.
