Urban Trail of the “Butte Montmartre” 2018
There is already a race in Montmartre, les “Strides of the Tertre“, a 10K. Here, it is indeed an urban trail that it is about, with beautiful climbs and descents (on stairs in particular). Watch the video given in link, it is about the route run by our friend Greg Runner, it’s really not flat at all… This is a first edition and, in addition, for a good cause. As part of its prevention and detection mission, the “Fondation du Souffle” promotes sport and physical activity in all its forms, which is essential for the respiratory health of all but also for respiratory patients. It is within this framework that it organises the first “Urban Trail de la Butte Montmartre”, a sporting, caritative and ” touristic ” event. We wish a great success to this new Parisian race!
Paris-Versailles 2018
Paris-Versailles, one of the most famous races in France. Registrations closed for 2018. Start at the foot of the Eiffel Tower and finish in front of the “Château de Versailles” with beautiful climbs including the famous “côte des gardes”. The races of Luxembourg 2018
It is always a great pleasure to take part in this “good-natured” yet competitive race in the heart of the “Quartier Latin”. The route consists of three large loops and one small run around the Luxembourg garden. Even if it goes fast, one does not forget to admire along the way, the Fountain of the Observatory, the Museum of Luxembourg, the Senate (Palais du Luxembourg) and in the distance, the Pantheon. A 10 km with 4 loops implies that the first ones necessarily double the last ones (please, even if it’s nice to run with friends, don’t run together on a line to let the fastest ones double you 😉). After the 10 km, other races are organized, the 6km of the 6th arrondissement, the races of 500 meters and 1 km for children. We must thank Jean-Luc who struggles every year for this race can take place (and thanks to the volunteers!).
La Parisienne 2018
It has become a great classic, La Parisienne, a race exclusively reserved for women, a beautiful party, 7 km around the Eiffel Tower, the Grand and Petit Palais, the Place de la Concorde, the Invalides… A nice route. Price expensive enough for a 7 km if we are only interested in pure competition and not in all the extras (animations, etc.) This year, the theme of the race will be “New York City in the heart of Paris”.
