10K of the Hexagone 2018
The 10 km of the Hexagone*: a simultaneous start on Sunday 24 June at 10am in several French cities in a gigantic competition! A part of the registration is donated to the National Union of Traumatised Brains (Union Nationale des Traumatisés Crâniens et Cérébro-Lésés). This donation will help improve the lives of the injured and their families. In Paris, the race starts and ends at the splendid hippodrome of Auteuil, precisely on the athletic track which is in the middle of the horses race field (for information, it is a track open to the public when there are no equestrian races, a beautiful 400 m to make its intervals series). It’s always a great pleasure to finish a race by going around a stadium! Propice to the final sprint which makes us gain a few seconds and pass under the threshold of the objective! * “Hexagone” means the continental part of France, reminding that its geographical shape resembles an almost regular hexagon (3 land sides and 3 sea sides). By extension, “Hexagone” is often used to designate France itself.
The strides of the 12th arrondissement 2018
The strides of the 12th arrondissement = Les Foulées du 12ème arrondissement The strides of the 12th arrondissement take place entirely in the “Bois de Vincennes” and end in a once famous place, the Cipale Velodrome Stadium. It was used at the Olympic Games of 1900 and 1924 as well as at the Tour de France from 1967 to 1974. This 10 km revives the stadium with great performances. It’s a beautiful race in the nice green Bois de Vincennes. Very nice atmosphere and a mythical arrival! Watch the video given in link (and the photos). Thanks SAM Paris 12!
Sport Ensemble (Together) 2018
Everything is in the title: “Sport ensemble”, sport together, valid and disabled of all ages. A very good atmosphere. Event organised by Handicap International. Among the many events proposed, a 10 km flat, again in the Bois de Boulogne, splendid in June! Formerly called “Courir Ensemble” (Run Together), Handicap International’s sporting and solidarity event is changing its name to “Sport Ensemble” for the 2017 edition. “Run together” has existed for many years and participates in Handicap International’s work on behalf of vulnerable populations throughout the world. Sport Ensemble offers several sporting events, 5 or 10 km race, 5 km walk… To register, after paying your registration fee online, create your personal and personalized collection page. You must collect a minimum of 100 € or (200 € in pair handi-valid) before Thursday 14 June 2018 at midnight in order to validate your registration and take the start of your event.
10 km Adidas Paris 2018
The now classic “10 km L’Equipe” becomes this year the 10 km Adidas, Adidas strengthening its presence in the world of running in Paris. Many runners for this 10 km (more than 16000 in 2017). Even if the price of the inscription is high compared to certain districts 10 km which still survive, this 10 km presents a magic route in Paris which it is difficult to resist: start place de la Concorde, Madeleine, Opera Garnier, street of Rivoli, banks of the Seine and the arrival in front of the Eiffel Tower on the bridge of Iena ! One of the best running routes in Paris for a competition (like The 10K of Paris Center). The concept of the race is to make a “battle” between different districts of Paris (no more classifications by categories, pity…) Many animations are planned. So, let’s celebrate the Parisian pavement and its prestigious streets and avenues!
10K of the 20th arrondissement “La Pyrénéenne” 2018
This is the fifth edition of this race which takes place in the steep streets of the 20th district, hence its name which evokes the mountains of the Pyrénées. Friendly local race which offers an exceptional route in Paris with a lot of elevations (>118 meters), a beautiful atmosphere and beautiful views of the capital, including views from the heights of Belleville. Good climbing!
